A 67-year-old man has been arrested in East London for allegedly selling roadworthy certificates for vehicles, without having them tested.
Hawks spokesperson, Captain Anelisa Feni, says Mxolisi Rich Klaas was arrested and brought before the court on Thursday.
He is a self-employed businessman who buys and sells cars and allegedly fraudulently charged R800 for a roadworthy certificate.
Feni says Klaas was granted bail of R1000 and is due to appear in court again on the 26th of June.
