Eight seriously injured in Eastern Cape bus smash

 Eight people were seriously injured on Thursday afternoon when the bus they were travelling in left the road just before King Williams Town and landed in the Buffalo river.

Police Luietenant Siphokazi Mawisa says the Mayibuye transport bus was travelling from Pedi to King Williams town when the accident happened.

Twenty one people were slightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
