Police in the Eastern Cape have arrested eight men who allegedly assaulted and hacked a man to death.
Spokesperson Captain Dineo Koena says the men aged between 26 and 44 took the law into their own hands after the victim allegedly kicked down several doors within the Jojweni locality near Mthatha.
She says Mthatha detectives launched a manhunt following the incident on Saturday and got their breakthrough on Monday.
Koena says all eight men will face a charge of murder.
The victim, whose name was not released, succumbed to his injuries at a clinic.
Police again urged communities not to take the law into their own hands.
