Economic Freedom Fighters members in the Eastern Cape legislature were barred from the state of the province address on Frirday because they were wearing red overalls.
EFF Member of the Provincial Legislature, Siyabulela Peter, said that when he and other party members entered the Bhisho Legislature, the Speaker came to them and requested them to go outside to talk.
He says the EFF members were told that their dress code was not allowed in the legislature and they were requested to leave.
Peter says they left because they did not want to cause a scene when security was called.
He says, however that they will be taking this up with the national leadership, who appeared several times in parliament in red overalls.
