Eden District Municipality fire fighters are monitoring a 16km fire-line in the Hessequa area after bringing it under control on Friday.
The Municipality said the fire-line at Still Bay had been burning from North to South with three heads which are now under control.
On Saturday afternoon the District Municipality that there were only two smouldering fires in Hessequa which will be attended to by Eden fire fighters and other teams.
A Huey helicopter is on standby in Stilbaai with 30 firefighters currently in the area.
Relay teams will be rotated every 12 hours until Monday.
A strong north-northwest wind has been predicted for Sunday evening. High-risk areas that could be affected by the wind have been identified and will be safeguarded.
