KING WILLIAM’S TOWN, November 6 (ANA) – An alleged fraudster on the run since 2012 has finally been arrested, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) said on Sunday.
Sonwabile Mthongana, 36, was finally arrested by the Eastern Cape Hawks serious commercial crime unit in Johannesburg on Thursday, Captain Anelisa Feni said.
“In June 2012 the 36-year-old allegedly forged the signature of an East London judge in an order which instructed a certain medical aid scheme to pay an undisclosed amount of money to members of his family.”
Mthongana had already appeared in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crime Court on Friday, Feni said.
