A 36-year-old woman was shot to death while sleeping in a house in Kwanonzamo in Humansdorp.
Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said the incident happened on Friday night when two men entered a house and threatened the occupants.
She said they demanded money before going to one of the bedrooms and firing shots at the woman.
Her name has not yet been released and the motive for the shooting is not yet known.
Swart said Humansdorp police are investigating a case of murder and house robbery.
