An Eastern Cape top cop is expected back in the Zwelitsha Magistrate’s court on Tuesday on charges of fraud, corruption, and forgery.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Marinda Mills, head of the Eastern Cape Communications Division, was arrested in December last year and was released on a warning.
The charges against Mills relate to her allegedly signing off on a fraudulent travel claim submitted by a senior official in her office.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesman Tsepo Ndwalaza previously said the matter was postponed so a trial date could be arranged.
Ndwalaza said Mills would appear alongside two other co-accused at her next court date.
The two other co-accused have been identified as Lieutenant-Colonel Nicole Brown and Keith Essay.
