An Eastern Cape teenager has been shot and killed for his cell phone.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela, says four high school boys were on their way to a venue to study on Tuesday night, when three men attacked them and robbed them of a cellphone.
The 18-year-old owner of the cellphone died on the scene.
His friend was taken to hospital with serious stab wounds.
