Detectives at Mount Fletcher in the Eastern Cape have arrested an 18-year-old man for the brutal murder of two female relatives.
Police spokesperson, Captain Ursula Roelofse, said the bodies of the women were found in a home in Jojweni on Wednesday afternoon.
She said the one deceased was his 19-year-old niece Sandiswa Dasheka, while the other older woman, Nomaza Mevani, was the suspect's stepmother.
Roelofse says their bodies were found by the father when he returned home from a trip into town.
She said both women had sustained multiple wounds to their bodies and their cell phones were missing.
"After an intensive investigation by the detectives, the 18-year teenager was arrested and stolen items were found in his possession as well as other exhibits," she said.
