The search is expected to continue on Monday for a young Western Cape man whose abandoned vehicle was found at Khoisan Village at Bloukrans Bridge on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, says the police established that the abandonded car belonged to 25-year-old Dean Dempsey who had been reported missing at the Malmesbury police station in the Western Cape.
He says a protracted search then began for Dempsey, which included the use of a police chopper in the Storms River area.
