Police in the Eastern Cape have launched a manhunt for the suspects linked to the murder of an East London prosecutor.
The person was murdered at New Rest just outside of Butterworth on Thursday night.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa said the 49-year-old deceased was followed by two unknown men when he returned to a shebeen.
She said the balaclava-clad men shot the prosecutor in his upper body and he died at the scene.
The motive for the murder is still unknown and the name of the deceased has not yet been released.
