A School Principal from the Eastern Cape has been placed under immediate suspension following allegations of sexual assault.
The 43-year-old principal from the Ngangolwandle Senior Secondary School in the OR Tambo District Municipality is accused of sexually assaulting four learners.
A spokesperson for the Provincial Department of Education Loyiso Pulumani says a team, led by a senior official, went to the school on Monday following the principal's arrest and immediately suspended him following their own investigation.
The Educator made a brief appearance in the Mqanduli Regional Court where the case was remanded to the 20th of March for a formal bail application.
The accused remains in custody and the investigation continues.
