Uitenhage Police are investigating two armed robberies which took place in KwaNobuhle on Sunday night.
Sergeant Majola Nkohli says that at around 22h30, five men armed with handguns stormed into a tavern in Pepeta Street, KwaNobuhle and threatened patrons and employees.
They fled on foot with cellphones, cash, liquor, a laptop and a monitor.
Earlier in the evening at around 18h00, three men entered a house in 6th Avenue in Kwanobuhle and threatened a couple at gunpoint.
They tied them up and ransacked the house before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Sergeant Nkohli says it took the couple several hours to free themselves and raise the alarm.
There have been no arrests in connection with either incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the KwaNobuhle police.
