PORT ELIZABETH, December 21 (ANA) – Port Alfred police in the Eastern Cape have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a 10-year-old boy’s body at the Trikwakawa farm in the Seafield area.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender, on Wednesday said it was alleged the boy left home on Friday with four other boys to attend a traditional ceremony at a nearby farm.
Govender said the boys consumed alcohol and headed home on Saturday morning.
“The victim sat down next to an unoccupied farm house promising his friends to follow them but he did not,” said Govender.
On Monday the boy’s grandmother enquired about his whereabouts, the four friends decided to search for him and found him where they left him next to the unoccupied farmhouse.
At this stage no foul play is suspected.
