Eastern Cape police are appealing for assistance from the public and are offering a cash reward of R50 000 for information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of a suspect, or suspects, involved in the murder of seven people in Qunu.
Provincial spokesperson, Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana says their bodies were found in a flat on 1 February.
He says four men and three women, aged between 22 and 46, were allegedly shot and killed by an unknown suspect.
Kinana says they sustained gunshot wounds to the upper bodies and were declared dead at the scene.
He says upon investigation, the police gathered information regarding the identity of the suspect as Sanele Tshislanga, alias Litye.
An investigation is currently being conducted in order to track, trace and arrest the wanted suspect.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Tshislanga is asked to contact the nearest police station.
