Eastern Cape police have released the following identikit of the man suspected to be behind the hijacking attempt on provincial police commissioner, lieutenant-general Celiwe Binta.
Binta was traveling with her bodyguard and a female passenger when they were attacked in broad daylight last Saturday near Berlin.
A shot was fired which penetrated the front driver’s window and exited through the front passenger’s window.
The bodyguard managed to speed away and drive to the local police station.
