Eastern Cape Police are investigating a triple murder after three bodies were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in Mthatha.
Police spokesperson, Captain Khaya Tonjeni said police were on a manhunt for suspects after the killings on Wednesday.
Tonjeni said the three victims, one woman and two men, were found with multiple bullet wounds on their upper bodies at KwaDosi locality in Mthatha.
It was alleged that one of the deceased men, was at his home when three unknown men knocked at his door.
Tonjeni said the man was seen driving a taxi out of his yard with the three men inside
He said the bodies of the three victims were found in the taxi about seven kilometres from the man’s house.
All three victims were identified by their loved ones.
They were the taxi driver, his girlfriend and the drivers' assistant.
Police are following up on possible leads. The motive for the killings is unknown at this stage and no arrests have been made.
