Eastern Cape police are searching for six men who robbed the owner of a Committee’s Drift game farm near Makhanda on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, said the men, three of whom were armed, struck just before 9 pm, holding the owner of the reserve and his family at gunpoint as they sat on the patio.
He said they were ushered into a bedroom where the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a firearm and ammunition.
“During the incident, a guest's firearm was also robbed,” Nkohli said.
He said no one was injured and a case of house robbery is under investigation.
Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer George Cook on 084 648 1749.
