A Lesotho national accused of murdering a Barkley East farming couple, has reportedly abandoned his bid for bail.
Twenty-two-year-old, Thulani Mkhentane made his second court appearance on Tuesday for the murder of Dawid and Ralie de Villiers on their farm Broadlands earlier this month.
The civil rights group Afriforum, which has been attending the court case, says in a statement that Mkhentane will appear in court again on the 28th of November.
He was arrested in Barkley East just days after the couple, in their eighties, were stabbed to death during a robbery.
Their 43-year-old son, Dawie, was also seriously injured in the incident.
