Dutywa police have arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly murdering his 44-year-old girlfriend.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, identified the deceased as Noluntu Ndaliso.
Manatha said Ndaliso was allegedly stoned to death at Makhokeni Location Lotha Village in Dutywa on Saturday night.
He went on to say that the deceased suffered injuries to her upper body and died on the scene.
Manatha said the suspect was arrested on Sunday and will appear before the Dutywa Magistrate Court on Tuesday on a charge of murder.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man has been arrested by the Willowvale police for the alleged murder of a 22-year-old woman.
Manatha identified the woman as Nontsikelelo Nkentezo, who was stabbed to death on Saturday night close to her home at Mbongo Location in Bikane Village.
He said police recovered a knife that was allegedly used in the murder.
The suspect will also appear in court on Tuesday.
