A 35 year-old-man from Dutywa in the Eastern Cape will appear in court on Tuesday for allegedly raping a mentally challenged woman.
He was apprehended on Thursday after family members reported the incident to police.
The suspect was arrested at his home in Exeni Village in Dutywa the following day.
Meanwhile, East London police's K-9 unit have arrested a suspect following a robbery at a construction site.
The suspect was one of seven poeple who allegedly entered the construction site on Friday, tied up two guards and then stole some construction machinery and tools.
Police said they recovered equipment valued at between R120 000 and R150 000 during the arrest.
The suspect will appear in court on Tuesday.
