Eastern Cape police say a 45-year-old woman has been found murdered while her 25-year-old boyfriend was found hanged at village near Dutywa.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says their bodies were found early Wednesday morning by a neighbour.
He says the woman went to the deceased's home and when their was no answer she looked through the window where she saw the woman's body covered in blood.
Manatha says the neighbour called the police who made the grim discovery.
He says the identities of the deceased will be released once their next of kin have been informed.
Manatha says it is not clear at this point in time what led to the death of the two but he says police are appealing to the public to assist with their inquiry.
