EC man in court for alleged rape of ex-girlfriend

A 21-year-old Eastern Cape man will appear in court on Monday for allegedly raping his ex-girlfriend.

Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says the man allegedly dragged the 18-year-old from her sister's house to his house where the rape occurred.

He says police were later called and the suspect was arrested on Friday night.

Manatha says he has been charged with rape and will appear in the Butterworth magistrate's court.
