The 20-year-old man who was charged of murdering two sisters appeared at the Willowvale Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Thando Mgqobhozi allegedly raped, robbed and murdered 12-year-old Siyamthanda Koli and her 16-year-old sister Cordelia.
Their bodies were found earlier this month after they attended a traditional ceremony at Mgojweni Location in Nqadu Village in Willowvale in the Eastern Cape.
They were found in a plantation about three kilometres away from the homestead that had the ceremony.
Mghobozi has been charged with two counts of murder, two counts of rape, two counts of kidnapping and one charge of robbery and assault.
He will appear in court again on the 28th of January 2016 and remains in custody.
