A 29 year-old woman was stabbed to death, allegedly by her boyfriend, at the Willowvale informal settlement in the Eastern Cape on Sunday.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha says the woman had had an argument with her boyfriend - also aged 29.
She was stabbed in the upper body and rushed to the Willowvale Health Centre where she was declared dead on arrival.
Manatha says the man handed himself to the police.
He was arrested and charged with murder and is due to appear in the Willowvale Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
