The Mthatha Magistrate's Court has sentenced a man to life in prison for the hijacking, robbery and murder of a 27-year-old woman.
Police captain Jackson Manatha said the man used a young girl to trap Nwabisa Senge in February last year.
The girl posed as a hitch-hiker and Senge stopped to give the girl a lift.
Four men appeared from the bushes and held Senge up at gunpoint.
She was pushed into the boot of her car and forced to give the men her bank card and pin code.
Manatha says the men managed to withdraw money from the bank and later killed Senge.
Forty one year-old Simphiwe Tshibo was arrested the day after her body was discovered.
Three schoolboys and a girl were also arrested.
During the course of the trial, all the students were cleared of the crime and Tshibo was implicated as the person who hijacked, robbed and murdered the deceased.
