EC man gets life for raping young girls

A Graaff-Reinet man has been sentenced to two life imprisonment for raping two young sisters last year.

Twenty-two-year old Denzel Sampie was jailed in the Graaff-Reinet Magistrates Court last Friday.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Livhuhani Mudau says he had accosted the young girls, aged 11 and 12, while they were on their way to visit their aunt.

The court hgad heard that Sampie took them to a secluded place where they were sexually assaulted.
