EC man drowns in swimming pool in Port Alfred

A 28-year old man from Bhisho has drowned in a swimming pool at a chalet in Port Alfred.

NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says their medics responded to join Atlas Security officers, Eastern Cape Government Health Emergency Services and the SA Police Services at the scene.

He says despite extensive CPR efforts, and after all efforts to resuscitate the man were exhausted, he was declared deceased.

Lambinon says the body of the man has been taken into the care of Government Health Forensic Pathology Services, and police have opened an inquest docket.
