EC man arrested with gun and stolen goods

Butterworth detectives have arrested a suspect and confiscated a firearm, computers and other items valued at 50-thousand rand.

Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says the 25-year-old man was arrested at his home in the Yako informal settlement.

He says the firearm will be sent for ballistic tests to establish whether it has been used in a crime.

The suspect will appear in court on Thursday.
