Eastern Cape police have arrested a 33-year old man for the alleged murder of a teenager in Willowvale.
Butterworth police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says it is alleged that the suspect was seen coming out of a window of a shop on Saturday, and he was chased by a group of community members.
He says while running, the suspect drew his firearm and shot at the group that was chasing him.
Manatha says a 19-year old man was fatally wounded.
Police were informed, and the suspect was traced and arrested.
A licensed firearm with eleven live rounds of ammunition was confiscated.
The man will appear in the Willowvale Magistrate's Court on Monday.
