EC government to hold several events for Child Protection week

The Eastern Cape Government will mark Child Protection Week with several events that will culminate in the commemoration of International Children's Day on the First of June.
Eastern Cape Social Development MEC, Pemmy Majodina, says her department has several programmes that aim to promote the rights of children with respect to care, protection and development.
This week will also see the Department launch a programme geared towards orphaned and vulnerable children.
Child Protection week in the Eastern Cape will close with an advocacy session for the rights of children of mothers who are incarcerated.
