Revenue from gambling in the Eastern Cape in April increased across all sectors.
That's according to figures published on the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board’s web site.
It says revenue from slots increase by R100 million in April to R1.5 billion compared to the same month in 2011 while income from tables in-creased from R38.7 million to R41.6 million.
Income from horse racing increased from R21.6 million to R25.2 million year-on-year and income from Route and Site operations rose from R98.6 million to R127.1 million.
Income in all sectors was also up on March this year with the exception of Route and Site where revenue decreased from R130.7 million to R127.1 million.
