The Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board is set to issue a Draft Request for Proposals ahead of considering applications for the issuing of a further 9 Bingo licenses.
The Board says the purpose of the Draft RFP, which will be available from Thursday, is to invite written comments from interested groups and people before the issuing of the final RFP for the 9 licenses.
No date has been set as yet by the Board for the issuing of the final RFP, which will constitute the basis for any tender for bids for the 9 outstanding licenses.
The Board has so far issued 6 bingo licences, two of which will operate in Port Elizabeth at Moffett-on-Main and Cleary Park.
Two of the other licenses were awarded to companies operating in East London, one in Jeffrey’s Bay and the sixth in Mthatha.
