Eastern Cape police say excessive flooding in the Chris Hani District claimed the lives of at least three people since Friday.
Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says the body of an unknown woman, aged around 40, was found in Owen Street near the Komani river on Saturday afternoon.
She says the deceased is not yet identified, and an inquest docket has been opened.
On Friday, two men from Comfimbaba drowned in the Qumanco River.
Colonel Naidu says the body of one victim, a 58-year-old man was found on Saturday but the second person is still missing.
The search for the missing person continued on Sunday.
