The editor of an Eastern Cape community newspaper who is charged with tresspassing, says he did not appear in a Matatiele court on Tuesday as scheduled.
Andile Nomabhunga says the state prosecutor still wants more information on the case against him and a DA Councillor.
The charges stem from an investigation by Nomabhunga, who edits the paper, The Informer, into alleged irregular expenditure by Matatiele's municipal manager, who apparently built a recording studio at her home.
When he and a DA Councillor went to the municipal manager's house to verify the claims they were arrested on a charge of trespassing.
Nomabhunga spoke to Algoa FM News.
"Our lawyer explained to us that the prosecutor wants to get more information about the case, because at the moment she is not satisfied. The lawyer said that she wants to invite the manager that I wrote about so that she can give a statement, She will then decide on the case" he said
