The Eastern Cape Education Department says it will be seeking an interdict later this week to prevent the disruption of work at district education offices.
This, after members of teacher's union Sadtu allegedly forced personnel out of the education district offices in East London, Grahamstown, Fort Beaufort and Queenstown yesterday.
The union is continuing its campaign to oust education superintendent-general, Modidima Mannya.
The Democratic Alliance in the Eastern Cape has also called on the premier to intervene.
DA MPL, Edumund van Vuuren, says the premier has not acted since school started and therefore the union decided to intensify their action against the department.
