Buffalo City law enforcement services say they're determined to shut down bogus doctors who put up misleading posters in the East London CBD.
Metro communications manager Keith Ngesi says law enforcement officers have closed in on eight of the so-called healers in Gladstone Street, issuing summonses for contravening municipal by-laws.
Ngesi says they seized about 30-thousand posters and flyers advertising services from illegal abortion clinics, bogus healers and doctors.
He says the illegal signage hampers the municipality's efforts to keep the City clean.
