Agri SA has called on president Jacob Zuma to deal with the structural problems facing the economy in an open minded way, when he delivers his state of the nation address on Thursday.
Agri SA president, Johannes Moller, says while they realise that 2012 is the centenary year for the ruling party, the weakening global economic outlook presents serious challenges for the local economy, economic growth and job creation in particular,
Möller also said while there are few pockets of excellence in the public service, there is still ongoing wasteful expenditure running into billions of rands, a lack of clean audits for various government departments, and wide-spread fraud.
President Zuma delivers his state of the nation address at 7pm on Thursday night.
