An Eastern Cape policeman, accused of firing shots at the Deputy Speaker of the Bisho Legislature, is due back in court on Friday.
The incident happened on the 25th of last month, when Deputy Speaker, Bulelwa Tunyiswa was travelling with her family and bodyguards from Mount Coke to King Williams Town.
No one was injured, as the driver managed to take evasive action.
According to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, Warrant Officer Andile Mshabeni, appeared in court last week Monday.
IPID spokesperson, Grace Langa, says its alleged that Mshabeni had started firing shots in his house in Macibi Village in Mount Coke.
