Eastern Cape police have implemented a 72-hour activation plan and are searching for suspects involved in the murder of a Mthatha businessman.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says he was shot and killed outside his home on Saturday evening.
He says according to information, the 40-year-old man was attacked in the driveway of his home in Southernwood.
Nkohli says he sustained several gunshot wounds in the upper body and was lying next to his vehicle.
The motive for the attack is unknown.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
