A 36-year- old businessman from the Eastern Cape is expected to appear in court on Monday for allegedly defrauding the Alfred Nzo Municipality out more than R87 million.
The businessman was arrested Monday morning at his house in Mount Ayliff.
Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana says investigations revealed that the suspect submitted fraudulent documents to the Construction Industry
Development Board (CIDB) which he then submitted to the Municipality, who subsequently awarded him with two tenders.
He will appear before the Mount Aylif Magistrate on fraud-related charges
