Eastern Cape Transport MEC to launch Drive Dry campaign in Queenstown

As part of youth month celebrations, the Eastern Cape Transport, Community Safety and liaison MEC, Weziwe Tikana in partnership with South African Breweries, will conduct a Drive Dry campaign on the N6 in Queenstown on Saturday morning.

Eastern Cape Department of Transport spokesperson, Ncedo Kumbaca says the campaign is meant to encourage youth to be responsible road users and discourage them from drinking and driving.

He says the campaign has been identified as one of the projects that can effectively impact in curbing road carnage and educate young people on the consequences of drunk driving.
