An Eastern Cape man who pleaded guilty to 20 counts of murder will know his fate on Tuesday.
Butterworth magistrate Noluthando Conjwa will pass sentence on 39-year-old Bulelani Mabhayi, bringing down the curtain on a reign of terror at Tholeni Village near the town which began in 2008.
Women and children counted amongst his many victims.
During final argument in August, the state called for life sentences to be imposed on Mabhayi, who also pleaded guilty to 6 counts of rape and 10 counts of house-breaking with intent to rob.
