Eastern Cape roads claim several lives

Eight people were killed and three injured in a head-on collision on the N2 between Dutywa and Mthatha in the Eastern Cape on Friday.

According to the public broadcaster, a bakkie made a U-turn and collided with an oncoming taxi.

According to reports, four people in each vehicle died.

No further details have been received.

On Saturday morning, two people were killed and one seriously injured after two trucks collided on the N2 outside Grahamstown.
