Butterworth police are searching for a a 12 year old schoolgirl who was allegedly been kidnapped while on her way to school.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says the incident happened last Thursday at Mzantsi Location at Thoboshane village near Butterworth.
He says its believed the child may have been abducted by an uncle.
Manatha says East London dog unit members were involved in the search for the child on Sunday.
Anyone who may have information on the child's whereabouts should contact the Butterworth police.
