Eastern Cape police chief thanks officers who are on festive season duty

Eastern Cape police commissioner has thanked policemen and -women who are on duty over the festive season.
Binta says in a statement that these officials often perform their duties under trying circumstances.
She wished the people of the Eastern Cape a safe, peaceful and joyous festive season, adding that the police are continuing to squeeze crime to zero.
Binta says they will deploy maximum police resources and crime prevention operations, roadblocks, cordons and searches will take place throughout the Province on a daily basis.
She apologised for any inconvenience this may cause, but requested the public's understanding and support.
