One of the Eastern Cape's most wanted suspects was arrested on Friday in Duncan Village, East London.
The Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Celiwe Binta commended the police team for the breakthrough and reminded criminals of the old adage about the long and far-reaching arm of the law.
A multi -disciplinary task team consisting of local detectives, Hawks investigators, intelligence officers and a tactical response team were involved in the tracing and arrest of the 34 year old man in C-Section Duncan Village, where he was hiding out.
The involvement of the suspect in numerous murders and robberies in Buffalo Flats, Duncan Village, Mdantsane and Mooiplaas over the last 12 months is being investigated by the task team.
The man is expected to appear in court on Monday on charges of Murder and Robbery.
