Eastern Cape man in court for Willowvale woman's murder

Seven months after an Eastern Cape woman was hauled out of a taxi and stabbed to death, the trial of her alleged killer got underway in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court.
Members of the Sonke Gender Justice Network, supported by several other NGO's held a protest outside the court where the murder trial of Nkosinathi Xabadiya got underway on Monday morning.
He is charged with the murder of Sandiswa Mhlawuli who witnesses allege was pulled out of a taxi in Willowvale and stabbed to death by her ex Xabadiya, apparently on the same day she had finally received a protection order against him.
Xabadiya reportedly pleaded "not guilty" to murder guilty to a charge of culpable homicide.
