Police have arrested a suspect in the Eastern Cape for the murder of a Cape Town police woman, constable Rozelle Witbooi.
She was killed in a shoot-out with four suspected robbers when they responded to a call-out in Kraainfontein last Thursday.
Western Cape police spokesperson, captain Frederick van Wyk, says the 26-year-old was arrested in Elliott in the Eastern Cape on Tuesday, where he was recovering from a gunshot wound.
He says the man will be taken to Cape Town for his court appearance.
Another suspect, who was also wounded in the gun-battle, is under police guard in hospital.
